ADAM FINCH: EDITOR

Adam FinchAdam Finch graduated in Fine Art Film from St Martin’s School of Art. He has collaborated with a wide variety of artists including William Orbit, Lynne Ramsey and Diamanda Galas. His editing work spans different disciplines and encompasses art, documentary and drama. With Trussed in 1996 Adam began a long and successful collaboration with Isaac Julien, going on to edit all Isaac’s subsequent works including Long Road to Mazatlán, Baltimore and Baadasssss Cinema. In 2004 Adam Finch edited the feature film Innocence, with the French Director Lucile Hadzihalilovic and her partner Gaspar Noe, which won the Bronze Horse for Best Film at Stockholm Film Festival and was released to international critical acclaim. Adam’s work is characterised by its lucid, lyrical style and detailed atmospheric sound texturing, concerns which also inform his documentary work. His recent film Nuclear Nightmares has been nominated for a Grierson Award. Adam is currently working on Transtango a collaboration with the Balanescu Quartet.
